Well, Happy Thanksgiving my beloved blog readers. I thought that I would post a quick blog entry today, the beginning of the fun and festive holiday season.
For some single ladies, Thanksgiving is another reminder of our lack of “Martha Stewart” abilities, especially when it comes to good ol’ home cooking. (Remember, I am a vegetarian and I have no idea where to even begin to prepare a turkey.) Thanksgiving is also the beginning of the true holiday season that period of time from now until February were being in a couple seems to be the solution for nearly every social scenario. Cocktail parties, Christmas get togethers, New Years Eve and of course the dreaded holiday of Valentine’s Day. (Not to worry, that day is many months away.)
Today is a day of thankfulness and gratitude. Hmmm…. what am I thankful for?
I am thankful for my free spirit, coupled with an open heart when it comes to dating and my hunt for love. I am thankful for my dating cheerleaders, who lend advice as well as a listening ear. I am thankful for having a sense of humor not allowing the ups and downs in dating to rattle my confidence.
Be thankful for all that you have while being grateful for where you are in life.
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all….
PS—Which of these images do you think represents my cooking style when it comes to Thanksgiving?

Wow , it’s Thanksgiving Day! I’m enjoying my extra day off, and I am planning to make something fun that’ll probably involve a moto trip and seeing something new in St. Andrews I haven’t seen yet.
You write something new at Thanksgiving?

I can relate to this. I am a terrible hostess. I would have people over more if a) I had confidence in my cooking b) my cats didn’t stink up the place and cover it in hairballs c) I was a domestic goddess and having people over didn’t give me anxiety attacks.
I too am dreading Singles Awareness Day (Feb. 14th).
